Abstract
Interviews with media professionals are increasingly becoming an important part of scholarship as they complement the empirical research of less studied areas in meaningful ways. This conversation with one such professional, Moses Babatope, represents an intervention that responds to key questions on the politics of film exhibition and contemporary cinema-going. Since research on Nigerian film exhibition and cinema-going is almost non-existent, this article is an important starting point for future endeavour. It situates the conversation within the broader discourse on African media industries and cultural studies.
