Abstract
In spite of the consensus that Follow-up is a worthy aspect of Development Communication (Devcomm) and Theatre for Development (TfD), there seem to be few documented materials on what constitutes a good follow-up, and the most appropriate model to adopt in Nigeria. Follow-up is an aspect in Development Communication and Theatre for Development that has to do with rigorous independent studies carried out by the facilitators, in order to measure the outcome of the developmental issues highlighted and discussed during the field works. With the adoption of Qualitative research method and the use of Participant observation, interviews and Homestead method as tools for data collection, the findings show that most Devcomm and TfD workshops do not engage in Post-workshop Follow-up, hence, it is difficult to ascertain the impact of the workshops on the people. The paper concludes that for effective measurement of the success or failure of Devcomm and TfD on the stakeholders, Social Impact Follow-up is an appropriate model that can be adopted by the facilitators.
