Prof. Eserinune McCarty Mojaye, Ph.D., is a Professor of Mass Communication, Department of Mass Communication and a former Director of the Olusegun Obasanjo Centre for African Studies, National Open University of Nigeria, Jabi, Abuja, Nigeria. He has been Head of Department, Director of academic centers and external examiner at the undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels in many Nigerian universities. Prof. Mojaye has a passion for research. He has been the Editor, since 2009 till date, of the Journal of Communication and Media Research, Africa’s most consistent and highly-rated journal in the field of communication. Prof. Mojaye is also a Member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the world’s oldest refereed journal in the field of mass communication, Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly. His major areas of research interest are Journalism, Communication for Development, Mass Media Studies, Theory Building & Research Development.
