Journalism as a profession is assuming new dimensions and breaking new grounds. Blogging has come to stay as a new form of Journalism practice the world over, including Nigeria in general and Kaduna State in particular. On a daily basis, new blogs are created and used by Nigerians to pass across messages. It is a new trend in the practice of Journalism and many practitioners of the profession are resorting to blogging rather than being attached to media houses. It is in the light of this new development that this study focuses on the practice of blogging as a new form of Journalism practice in Nigeria. What are the inherent advantages in a Third World nation like Nigeria? What gains are there for practitioners and what are the inherent dangers? These are the questions examined in this paper.
